Virbac Veterinary HPM K1 Kidney Support Dog dry food for dogs to improve kidney function

This is a therapeutic dry food for dogs that helps improve kidney function. It can be used for chronic liver disorders.

It is not recommended to use in the following stages:
During the growth period; During pregnancy and lactation.

Features:

Low phosphorus content slows down the progression of kidney disease and reduces the risk of secondary hyperparathyroidism;
Limited amounts of high-quality protein reduce the production of uremic toxins, and maintain fluid balance in damaged kidneys and throughout the body;
Phosphorus binders (chitosan and calcium carbonate) reduce phosphorus absorption (effectiveness proven by Virbac);
The high energy value reduces the daily intake, and the excellent edibility provides the body with essential nutrients;
High levels of omega-3, especially EPA+DHA, inhibit inflammatory processes in the kidneys;
High content of vitamin E, promotes antioxidant processes;
Sepiolite protects the mucous membrane of the digestive tract from possible damage during uremia.
Calcium carbonate protects against the risk of acidosis.
Higher calcium levels, when Ca:P ratio = 2, in the presence of phosphatemia, prevent side effects and reduce the risk of hyperparathyroidism;
Higher potassium levels compensate for urinary losses, thus reducing the risk of hypokalemia;
The nutrient content is adapted to meet the needs of adult and senior dogs.
Designed for dissolving struvite and oxalate stones and preventing urinary tract diseases.

Ingredients: Rice, dehydrated pork protein, animal fat, peas, potato starch, bean hulls mineral salts, lignocellulose, linseed, hydrolyzed pork and poultry proteins, beet pulp, fish oil, fructooligosaccharides, pasteurized Lactobacillus acidophilus.
