When the puppy weighs 6 kg (51-100% of the adult weight), he will need approximately 460 g per day.
Energy requirements during lactation depend on the number of puppies. If a bitch has 2, 4 or 8 puppies, energy requirements increase by 1.5, 2 and 3 times compared to the needs of a normal adult dog.
